Principle of Carbonate Geology and Reservoir
This course is an overview of carbonates rock from origin of carbonate and depositional facies to its reservoir characterization. Carbonate reservoirs represent over 60% of worldwide petroleum reserves, including emerging unconventional reservoirs.

Petroleum geologists, explorationists, geophysicists, petrophysicists, and petroleum engineers which work with the exploration of carbonate plays and development of carbonate reservoirs. Previous knowledge about carbonate rocks and carbonate sedimentology is not required.
Mr. Budianto Toha
Having more than 35 years experience in geology (mostly as stratigrapher) and Petroleum Geologist (HC exlorationist). Associate Professor Emeritus of Universitas Gadjah Mada in Stratigraphy and Siliciclastic / Carbonate Petrology. His area of expertise is Sequences stratigraphy analysis, especially in the field of siliciclastic and carbonate rocks sedimentology for hydrocarbon prospecting and development.
