Advanced Completion and Workover With Hydraulic Workover Unit Operations
This 4-day advanced training is designed to enhance participants’ knowledge and practical skills in well completion and workover operations using Hydraulic Workover Units (HWU). The course covers HWU concepts, equipment, operational procedures, well integrity, and safety considerations. Participants will gain the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate advanced completion and workover operations using HWU technology, with emphasis on live well interventions, efficiency, and risk management. By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
- Differentiate HWU operations from conventional workovers.
- Select suitable wells for HWU applications.
- Apply well control and safety principles in HWU operations.
- Plan, supervise, and evaluate advanced HWU completion/workover jobs.
Who Should Attend?
- Well Completion Engineers – to understand advanced completion/workover applications with HWU.
- Workover & Intervention Engineers – to gain expertise in HWU planning and execution.
- Drilling Engineers / Drilling Supervisors – to compare HWU with conventional rig workovers.
- Well Integrity Engineers – to evaluate barrier philosophy, live well intervention safety, and HWU well control.
- Production Engineers – to understand how HWU supports maintaining and restoring well productivity.
- Field Engineers & Supervisors (Wellsite / Rigsite) – especially those directly supervising HWU operations.
- HSE Engineers / Safety Officers – to learn about HWU-specific risks and safety management.
- Asset / Reservoir Engineers & Managers – to see how HWU can optimize production and field development strategies.
- Service Company Personnel (HWU contractors, snubbing specialists, equipment providers) – to align operational capabilities with operator requirements.
