Structural Modelling and Implementation in The Prospect Generation
Structural Modelling course presents different approaches to building models that capture geologically complex situations . The structural model is considered as the skeleton or the container of the Geomodel. Structural modelling starts with a sound structural framework which represents the relation between the faults dissecting the geological object and the seismic horizons representing the important layers. The challenge faced by the Geomodeller is to render the potentially complex structural grain with limited gridding algorithm. This challenge has inevitably resulted in an increasing amount of manual editing to find the right balance between simplification and structural representation.
