Integrated Subsurface Data Evaluation

Objective

Understand subsurface data acquisition and data QC of following: mudlogging, Logging While Drilling and wireline logging. Know tool physics of the logging tool to understand and able to choose the “right for purpose” tool. Interpretation of mudlogging data such as drilled cutting (including oil show) and gas data to determine pay zone combined with log analysis.

DAY 2 – Introduction to Mudlogging Operations

  • Mudlogging Scope of Works and Sensors,
  • Drilled Cutting: description & oil shows,
  • Gas Data: QC and interpretations.

DAY 3 – Logging Operations

  • Logging acquisition and tool physics,
  • Logging While Drilling acquisition,
  • Wireline logging operations.

DAY 4 – GeoSteering

  • Introduction to GeoSteering.
  • Integrated Subsurface
  • Data application in GeoSteering & Real case study.
Instructor

A consultant geologist and currently working in Subsurface Department in TotalEnergies E&P Uganda. He has experience in the oil and gas industry for more than 20 years focusing on Operations/Wellsite Geology with various fields and companies. On some occasions, he has given a short course of Operations/Wellsite Geology and Subsurface Data for oil & gas companies and geological students in some Universities in Indonesia since 2014. He graduated from Geological Engineering ITB (2002). The following is a brief of his working experience.
