Integrated Training

Advanced Reservoir Characterization: Rock Typing, Permeability Prediction, & Saturation Height Modeling

Objectives

Training is to equip geoscientists and reservoir engineers with advanced, integrated methodologies to accurately define reservoir rock types, predict permeability distribution, and construct robust saturation height models for improved volumetric estimation and dynamic performance forecasting. Participants will develop practical skills in linking core data, well logs, and petrophysical analysis to reservoir quality classification, applying statistical and rock physics approaches for permeability modeling, and implementing saturation height functions to reduce uncertainty in hydrocarbon column evaluation. Through case-based workflows and real-field applications, this course aims to enhance subsurface interpretation accuracy, strengthen static-to-dynamic model consistency, and ultimately support more reliable field development planning and reservoir management decisions.
